Latest In Beauty Box with Get the Gloss

I have a bit of a wary relationship with beauty boxes. To be honest I’m not a huge fan of surprise boxes, where I don’t know what I’m paying for and therefore might end up with things I hate.

If a sample is a little too small in regards to quantity, I’m usually a bit hesitant to try it out particularly if it’s for my face. Either because I feel I won’t be able to try it out for long enough to see the results (so in my mind what’s the point of starting it). Also in the last couple of years my face sometimes has a tendency to err on the sensitive side, meaning that I’m now extra picky on what I will use

I think in the past, I have only reviewed a couple of beauty boxes on here. The first I was sent as a PR sample and the second was from Latest In Beauty, which I purchased myself because it had a couple of things I was keen to try.

Well Latest in Beauty have done it again! I was encouraged to pick up a box largely because they had some products I’ve been keen to try for a while. This box in my view is a good one, not surprisingly though, as it was compiled with Get the Gloss one of my go to sites for beauty, health and lifestyle

So onto the box and what products drew me to it:

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer (30ml deluxe sample - full size is 50ml for £29)
A classic in many makeup artists bag, looking at it I can’t believe I have never tried it out. Definitely one I’m looking forward to trying out

Essie Nail Lacquers in Shearling Darling and Parka Perfect (mini 5ml sizes)
Really pretty shades, a nice vampy mahogany and a greyish shade with little shimmers running through it

James Read Sleep Mask Tan (25ml deluxe sample - full size is 50ml for £25)
Confession, I received this in my last beauty box and meant to try it out (after hearing that self tanning products can work on darker skin and give you a glow) but I’m still yet to try it out. I think I’m struggling to get my head around the concept and also I have other skin concerns I’m dealing with so it’s a little far down my list.

Therapie Roques Oneil Cherish Skin Repair Serum (30ml travel size - full size is 200ml for £44)
This is a new brand for me, but it smells amazing so I can’t wait to try out this luxury body oil

Daniel Sandler Concealer Brush (full size, £12.25)
I’m a big fan of Daniel Sandler and this brush feels nice and soft

Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate (10ml sample - full size is 50ml for £60)
I've recently read a lot of glowing reviews for this serum; it’s meant to target your skins immunity whilst packing an anti aging punch. Definitely intrigued just wish it was a little larger.

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner (full size, £12)
I’ve tried this out before and whilst I liked it, I thought it seemed to dry out rather quickly. I’m not sure if that’s because I left it for a while in between uses, so I’m keen to try this again and report back with a review if my opinion changes.

Balance Me Radiance Face Oil (10ml rollerball, £15)
I've heard really positive things about Balance Me as a brand but have yet to try anything from them. And to be honest seeing as I’m a big fan of using oils on the skin and this had the word radiance in it, oils + radiance had me at hello.

Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment (10g deluxe sample - full size is 34g for £39.99)
Finally I get to try this out!  It's been on my wish list for ages. I absolutely love facemasks and this one seems to have no end of glowing reviews. I'm very much looking forward to trying this bad boy out.

In my opinion, it’s one of the best beauty boxes I’ve seen in a while and definitely well worth the price. The Get the Gloss Beauty Insiders Kit from Latest In Beauty is worth £116.00 but retails for £19.95 +P&P

So what do you think? Will you be picking up a box?

  1. Of the beauty boxes - def think Latest In BEauty are the best. On the fake tan front, I like to use on my legs to even and add glow x
