Ahhh Spring…(insert belly laughter here)
the elusive weather we have all been waiting for. As I post this blog post, I
am looking at snow falling outside my window and declaring that it still looks
like winter to me! I say no more….
Don’t you just love it when you discover a
product that you didn’t know existed but which you end up loving?
Cue in terre d’Oc and their Eco Certified, Fair Trade Loving and all round dancing lipstick in Plum 209. The very gorgeous plummy lipstick that I have been wearing and loving for the last wintry month.

I was sent this lipstick to review a little
while ago, but unfortunately I have had majorly dry lips this winter (I blame
it on the nasty bug I had, which knocked my immune system for six and has my
skin and lips in a serious dryness/dehydrated rebellious mode). So I have more or less lived on tinted lip
balms and only picked it up to use properly over the last month, and I’m so
glad I did because this bad boy is so creamy and moisturising that it hasn’t
affected my lips in any way.
The first thing I have to highlight is that
terre d’Oc produces natural and organic skincare and makeup products. The benefits
of that mean that the lipstick uses organic and fair-trade ingredients. The
second thing I noticed is that the packaging itself is titchy when you compare
it to a lot of other lipstick brands. I initially thought this meant there was
a lot less product but in fact you actually get 4 grams of product, which is more
than some other brands! The reason for the compact friendly design is that they
focus on producing eco designs, which means a reduction in packaging and with
more product as a bonus.
Texture wise its very creamy and it goes on
really smoothly. It’s more of a moisturising lipstick (this might be due to the
fact that it’s enriched with argan oil) but I love that it’s not too glossy or
overly shiny and that I didn’t have to top it off with a gloss.

I have quite dark lips, and usually have to
mute out my natural lip colour before applying a lipstick if I want a real
colour payoff. However I didn’t need to do that with this lipstick, which
definitely gives it extra points in my book.
The only downside I found with it was the
lasting power – I find it only lasts for about 3 hours on me before I need to
touch it up, but this is a small price for the rest of it’s benefits.
It retails for £16.95 and can be found here terre d"Oc

I love the idea of a moisturising lipstick. My lips are always dry! 3 hours though?
